Operations & Communications Lead

  • Location: Papua preferred, though other locations may be considered
  • Hours: Part-time, approximately 3 days per week
  • Contract: Contract and benefits package to be confirmed, expected to include appropriate insurance, travel budget, training and equipment support
  • Reporting to: Director, based in the UK

Papua Partners is looking for an Operations & Communications Lead to join our team and help strengthen our work alongside Indigenous Papuan communities, churches and civil society partners in West Papua. This is a new, part-time role, created to support the growth of our Papuan-based team and strengthen the systems, communications and coordination that enable partner-led work. The successful candidate will work closely with our Papuan colleagues, Indigenous partner organisations and our Director, who is based in the UK.

We are looking for someone with excellent written English and Indonesian, strong organisational skills, and experience in communications, programme support or advocacy. The role will involve coordinating reporting, storytelling, partner communications, administration, compliance, financial tracking and practical support for advocacy and training activities.

This is a relationship-building role for someone who is committed to respectful, trauma-informed and culturally sensitive ways of working, and who shares Papua Partners' mission to support peace and justice for Indigenous Peoples of West Papua.
