Where we work
West Papua is the western half of the island of new Guinea bordering Papua New Guinea. Just south of the equator, West Papua contains some of the highest mountains, densest jungle, and richest mineral resources in the world. It is home to over 300 tribes and incredible biodiversity. The Melanesian peoples of West Papua and PNG share similar ethnicities, cultures and religions. It is merely their different colonial past that sets them apart.
